About

We picked the length first and built everything else around it

Most movement programmes are designed by working out what would produce the best result, then asking how long that takes. The number that comes back is usually thirty to forty-five minutes, and the programme is built around it. On paper it is the right answer.

In practice it is answering a question nobody asked. The people who need this most are the people with the least uninterrupted time, and a forty-minute session competes with the school run, the deadline, and the meeting that ran over. It loses that competition most days, and a session that does not happen has an effect size of zero regardless of how well designed it is.

So we started from the other end. What is short enough that you will still do it on the worst Wednesday of the quarter — and what is the most useful thing that fits inside it? The answer to the first question turned out to be around eight minutes. Everything else in this product is downstream of that constraint, including the things we had to leave out.

What we will not say

We will not tell you a plan fixes, heals, corrects or realigns anything. Those are clinical claims and we are not a clinic. We will not invent a statistic to make a results screen feel more convincing, we will not put a countdown timer on a price that is not actually expiring, and we will not publish a testimonial we do not hold written permission for.

Some of that costs us conversions. We have decided we would rather have a business that can still take card payments in three years.

Who writes this

Sessions and articles are written and reviewed by named people with stated qualifications, and their names are on the byline of everything they write. If we ever publish something without a name attached, it is because it was written by the company rather than a person — like this page.

Everything we build has to fit in the accent mark. That is a hard limit, not a target.
